Our Method Statements set out the processes and procedures we will follow when preparing all the technical elements for our regional resilience plan.
They allow all interested parties who want to scrutinise our work to be clear on the approaches – in essence the ground rules – that we are going to be taking in some complex and critical areas.
That is important as the evidence and data which then emerges from these approaches will be used by WRSE to make decisions about what is in our regional resilience plan. Some of the approaches we are proposing are new, whilst others are based on established methods.
Each of the approaches set out will now be applied consistently across the region. This is an important step in developing the regional plan, which we set out in our vision document.
Our consultation on the draft Method Statements closed on 31 October 2020 and we would like to thank everyone who gave us their feedback. We have reviewed all the comments we received and published our updated and final Method Statements - following the the Environment Agency’s finalised Water Resource Planning Guidance being issued, to make sure our Method Statements are aligned with this.
You can also learn more by viewing a recording of the general webinar we ran to provide an overview of the statements - just click here. Plus, you can watch the three detailed webinars we held on our Growth / Demand forecast, Options Appraisaland Environmental Ambition method statements.
